My name is Lauren Walden, LCSW and I am a psychotherapist practicing in the state of California, serving areas of Pasadena, Highland Park, Sierra Madre, Arcadia, and the Greater Los Angeles area. I see clients in person in Sierra Madre California and virtually seeing clients in areas like the Bay Area and San Diego.

Individual psychotherapy can offer containment where you can articulate feelings and experiences that may have previously felt inexpressible. I hope to help my clients have a richer understanding of their identity, enhanced emotional resilience, and a healthier perspective on relationships and life’s challenges.

I work with gay and straight couples to help them learn how to lean into the relationship, see each other better and hopefully feel more connected. During sessions, couples can learn to identify and manage conflict effectively. At its best, couples therapy can help you to build skills in empathy, appreciation, and shared goals, enhancing your emotional connection.

Therapy with adolescents can be a safe space for open dialogue about challenges relating to societal pressures, familial acceptance, and self-acceptance. I aim to create a safe space for teenagers, particularly those who identify as LGBTQ+ in understanding themselves, their goals, and their strengths.
